Zombified Piglin is a general purpose early-game unit with balanced stats. Its versatility makes it good for a first entity - able to deal with many things your opponent might throw at you.
Due to being both Undead and Fire resistant, this unit can also be deceptively tanky and more resiliant to consumable attacks such as Blaze Strike and Splash Poison Potion.
